At a meeting held in October 2014, the First Christian Reformed Church congregation voted to adopt an ambitious building plan to enhance and renew our aging facility. The plan was named "Project Glory" in light of our desire to serve God by fostering a closer engagement with our neighbors and our city. This desire has come to expression in our mission and vision statements. The plan design reflects this intent by creating an open, welcoming atmosphere for anyone visiting, as well as other new quality spaces for many different programs of education, prayer, bible study, social interaction, child care, and skill development. The building will also become fully accessible to the elderly and the handicapped. Other spaces such as washrooms and the kitchen will be updated and more conveniently located. To accommodate these changes, the sanctuary is also being altered to make the necessary room. All this is intended to help us to grow in our effort to be missionaries of the gospel right in our own neighborhood as we invite people to our programs and fellowship of believers. What a challenge!
NOT TO US, LORD, NOT TO US, BUT TO YOUR NAME BE ALL THE GLORY (PS 115:1)
